Pura vida!

If you participate in any of Cambiatus communities, this post is for you :)

We’re very happy to see our community growing, with more members using our platform. Muda and Verdes have been doing an amazing job in Brazil and Costa Rica, helping their communities redefine wealth and increasing their economic resiliency.

As our community grows, so does our need to give support to our members. This is why we created this support checklist, whenever you have any issue using Cambiatus.

This list is in constant evolution with inputs from our members.

Here are the instructions:

1. Clean the cache.

If you don’t know how to do this, go to google and type “How to clear the cache of [your browser or device name]” This link can also help.

2. Delete shortcuts.

Many people like to create shortcuts to enter Cambiatus communities. This is nice because it makes your experience easier, but after some updates the shortcut address may not work anymore. So, in case you have any problem logging into the platform, we suggest that you delete the shortcuts and try again.

3. Reload the app.

In case you are with the webpage open, reload the app and try again :)

4. Be mindful with your twelve words:

When creating your account you will receive a twelve-word password in a PDF, they represent your private key. This file is saved on the device you registered your account with. On the cell phone and on the computer, the pdf is saved in the downloads folder.

We recommend that you copy and store these words in a safe place. If you lose you private key, you will not be able to access your account. There is no central entity that stores passwords and users because we are a blockchain-based application. Therefore, we cannot reset your password, as only you have access to your private key, encrypted in your 12 words. This is great for your safety and privacy, but it also gives you greater responsibilities.

5. Error logging in with twelve words:

Check if the website address is correct. Make sure there is no space after the last word and the letters are lowercase. Check the twelve words and try again.

If the error persists, we ask that you send your community admins a photo, video or text of the error so that our team can analyze what is happening.

It is even better if you can inform you device’s operating system and the browser you use to access Cambiatus.

We hope this checklist is helpful and that you have an awesome Cambiatus experience :)
